- National Minimum Standards for Foster Services Standards, including Standard 16.1 and 16.2 which relate to the Statement of Purpose.
- Fostering Services Regulations England and Wales Part 1, 3 & 4.
- Care Standards Act 2000.
- Children Act 1989.

Abacus’ ethos is to provide consistently high standards of care to Children who are Looked After. We endeavour to do this by ensuring that the Foster Carers that we recruit have positive motivations to foster and receive quality ongoing Supervision, Support, Training and Advice.
